LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The Clinton County Animal Control has confirmed that 36 live and 31 dead animals were found inside a DeWitt Township home on Tuesday.
Along with cats and dogs, the live animals also included a duck, a rabbit, a frog, rats, a bearded dragon and hamsters. Law enforcement also found five dead ferrets, nine dead rats, one dead gecko, four dead ducks and 12 dead guinea pigs, Lt. Dan Spitzley with the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office told 6 News.
6 News was on the scene in King Arthur’s Court at around 3 p.m. Tuesday and saw multiple Clinton County Sheriff’s Office vehicles, including one from animal control. Lt. Dan Spitzley said the office received an anonymous welfare check call.
