MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – After being limited to just a few specific areas of the state over the last couple of days, those afternoon pop-up showers and thunderstorms are expected to become more numerous and widespread as we close out the work week.
Mostly sunny skies gradually become partly cloudy through the early afternoon, then isolated showers and thunderstorms are on the increase just about all across central and southern Alabama later this afternoon and into the early evening. While rain chances are improving, still far from everyone sees rain today. Those that stay dry will remain under partly cloudy skies with highs in the middle 90s. Any rain that’s still out there after sunset should wind down pretty quickly through the late evening, then we’re looking at another mostly clear and quiet night with lows in the lower 70s.
