AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — Only two active New World screwworm cases remain in Texas, and neither involves cattle, a Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service specialist said during Randall County’s 49th annual Crops Tour.
Dr. Jason Smith, a beef cattle specialist with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, said the United States has recorded 46 New World screwworm cases, including 45 in Texas.
