NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced a new Arkansas youth outdoors program on Wednesday.
The governor said the My Natural State Story Contest will be open to Arkansas children ages 10 to 17 to submit essays on adventures they’ve had while enjoying Arkansas outdoors.
Arkansas State Police help find 8 missing children, 2 remain
Participants will be broken into two groups: 10 to 13 and 14 to 17, the governor said. Each group will have winners, along with the overall winners.
Essays will be made in categories, such as hunting, fishing, boating or paddling, with prizes for each category from members of the respective industry. This includes the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission awarding a lifetime hunting and fishing license to the winners in the hunting and fishing categories…
