BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — An Ascension Parish cold case was reopened after learning the identity of the victim of a shooting in 1991.
According to a short documentary by the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, a body was found in a swampy area in the parish. The victim was found with gunshot wounds, wrapped inside a tarp and left in a ditch.
There weren’t any missing person matches tied to the discovered body…
