HONOLULU (KHON2) — A familiar taste from Hawai‘i made a bigger splash across the United States this year. L&L Hawaiian Barbecue gave away more than 20,000 SPAM® Musubi during its sixth annual National SPAM® Musubi Day on Saturday, Aug. 8.
The event marked the largest celebration since L&L created the food holiday in 2021. For the first time, the event took place on a Saturday which brought families and guests together at participating L&L locations nationwide.
The Keʻeaumoku restaurant in Honolulu led the celebration with 500 free SPAM® Musubi. Other locations added live entertainment, giveaways, family activities and special menu promotions…
