SF’s Coit Tower to go pink for Dolly Parton

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — San Francisco’s iconic Coit Tower will be lit pink Wednesday evening in honor of country music legend and philanthropist Dolly Parton, who passed away Tuesday after a battle with cancer.

The San Francisco Recreation and Park Department announced the tribute in a social media post.

“We were saddened to hear of the passing of Dolly Parton, whose music, generosity & vibrant spirit brought joy to the world, including to Golden Gate Park at Hardly Strictly Blues Fest in 2005. In tribute to her remarkable life & legacy, Coit Tower will be lit pink this evening,” the department wrote.
