Cooler air is gradually spreading into our area today as an upper-level trough over the northeast Pacific shifts northeastward. This onshore wind pattern brought marine fog into interior lowlands this morning; however, it has since dissipated inland, leaving only broken clouds along the coast. Temperatures will remain near seasonal norms, with inland areas seeing highs in the low 80s while coastal locations stay in the 60s.
Another round of marine fog is expected tonight into Friday morning as onshore flow strengthens. A weak frontal boundary embedded within a broader disturbance will move across the region tomorrow morning, bringing a chance of precipitation, mainly along the coast. Elsewhere, the chance for measurable precipitation remains low. Cooler air accompanying this disturbance will lower interior highs into the mid to upper 70s for Friday, while coastal areas remain in the 60s…
