Severe thunderstorms swept across the Capital Region Thursday evening, bringing damaging winds, torrential rain, reports of downed trees and power outages, and even tornado warnings for parts of the region.
The National Weather Service in Albany issued multiple Severe Thunderstorm Warnings as a line of storms moved east through eastern New York.
In addition to the severe thunderstorm warnings, the National Weather Service also issued a tornado warning for portions of Saratoga and Washington counties as storms intensified north of the Capital Region.
