ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A local sheriff is fighting back against a new state law that bans cooperation with federal immigration agents.
The law, called the “Local Cops, Local Crimes Act,” went into effect Tuesday. Immediately, sheriffs from 15 counties sued to overturn the law.
