FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – A family in Fort Wayne’s Crown Colony neighborhood says their business equipment van was stolen from their driveway Wednesday night, prompting neighbors to keep a closer watch on the area.
Yudielt Hernandez parked his family’s white work van in front of his driveway Wednesday evening, as he does most nights. Doorbell camera video shows a group of people checking car doors in the neighborhood that night. The people are not known to the neighborhood, according to the report.
Ring camera video captured the group checking door handles nearby.
Neighbor Angelica Villa said she noticed the activity on her camera and tried to notify her neighbors in time.
“I text my neighbors and they said, hey, just make sure your doors are locked because this happened on the street and we all walked out at the same time,” Villa said. “He says the van’s gone.”
The van contained thousands of dollars in commercial floor scrubbers and polishers, according to Hernandez. He said daily operations are shut down without the equipment…
