INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis man is headed to federal prison for more than 12 years after admitting to robbing a Chase Bank on North Meridian Street.
Brinton Lenell Yates, 58, was sentenced to 12 years and seven months in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release. He was also ordered to pay $1,583 in restitution.
According to court documents, the robbery happened around 10:54 a.m. on December 2, 2025. Yates walked up to a teller, pulled a robbery note from his wallet and pressed it against the glass. The note read, “This is a robbery 100s and 50s.”…
