Man previously convicted of robbery sentenced for carrying stolen gun on Pittsburgh’s South Side

A man previously convicted of robbery was sentenced for carrying a gun in Pittsburgh’s South Side.

Jayvon Turner, 24, of Beaver Falls, was sentenced to serve over 7 years in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release on Thursday.

Pittsburgh Police and members of the ATF said they found him with a stolen semi-automatic handgun in the South Side in Aug. 2025. Since he was previously convicted of a state robbery charge, it is a federal crime for him to carry a gun or ammunition…
