Companion Energy volunteers pamper pets at Houston Humane Society ahead of Clear The Shelters

HOUSTON – Companion Energy recently spent the morning at the Houston Humane Society giving every animal a little extra love and care so they can look and feel their best for this weekend’s Clear the Shelters event, one of the biggest adoption days of the year.

Volunteers started the day by bathing Chachee, a 3-year-old shepherd mix and making sure the black dog looked — and felt — ready to meet potential adopters. The team also spent time with Deborah the pig, offering gentle handling and attention that helps animals stay calm around visitors.

The work wasn’t limited to small animals. Volunteers helped bathe and groom the horses available for adoption, including Ramses, an 8-year-old Arabian gelding who stands about 14 hands tall…
