FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Multiple crashes are causing heavy backups along I-469 in northeast Fort Wayne Friday.
The Allen County Sheriff’s Department sent out a public safety alert telling drivers to avoid the area of I-469 northbound between the 24 and 28 mile markers, referencing multiple crashes causing congested traffic Friday evening. That’s near the I-469 and S.R. 37 exits.
Fort Wayne Dispatch confirms to WANE 15, one crash is causing traffic backups where both directions of S.R. 37 are shut down.
