KENNER, La. (WGNO) — The abandoned Esplanade Mall has become a refuge for wildlife, but a continuing nuisance for Kenner Police, who have made more than 80 trespassing arrests since the mall closed in 2021.
“Certainly, after the tragedy that happened to the St. John family in New Orleans, we want to make sure, and so does the property owner, that that doesn’t occur anywhere else, much less the city of Kenner,” said Kenner Police Chief Keith Conley.
