INDIANAPOLIS (Gray News) – A mother has been arrested after police say she left her infant son behind an Indianapolis strip mall with a note that read “I am unable to keep him, needs a good family.”
Detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrested the baby’s 24-year-old mother Wednesday on a preliminary charge of neglect of a dependent.
The arrest came two days after witnesses called police to report a baby had been left behind a strip mall in Indianapolis, according to WXIN. Police say the boy, who was less than 3 weeks old, did not appear to be hurt and was taken to the hospital to be checked out…
