OSWEGO, Ill. (WGN) – Two minors were injured after being hit by a vehicle Saturday afternoon following a crash in Oswego.
The Oswego Police Department said at around 12:50 p.m., officers were sent to the intersection of Route 34 and Heritage Drive to investigate a “major vehicle crash.”
The preliminary investigation revealed an Infiniti Q50 was traveling eastbound on Route 34 when it went into the intersection despite a red light. A Ford Explorer was already in the intersection waiting to make a left turn onto Heritage Drive. Once the light turned red, the Ford turned left and hit the Infiniti as it entered the intersection, according to investigators.
