The fatal crash occurred on August 22nd along Clinton Street near the intersection of Aurora Street. Emergency personnel from the Erie County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the scene at approximately 10:15pm where they located the victim on the front lawn of a nearby residential property.
Witness accounts provided to sheriff’s deputies indicated that a pickup truck traveled off the roadway, violently struck a utility pole, and collided with a tree, ejecting the driver from the cab upon impact.
Investigators confirmed that Schenck was the sole occupant inside the vehicle at the time of the collision. Upon arrival, responding deputies found no detectable pulse and immediately initiated emergency resuscitation efforts.
