CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Firefighters with the Cleveland Division of Fire rescued a person trapped in an elevator in the Terminal Tower late Thursday night.
According to Cleveland Fire, crews responded to Terminal Tower late Thursday night into early Friday morning for a person trapped in an elevator within a blind section of the elevator shaft.
With no normal floor access to the elevator, Technical Rescue 1, with assistance from Tower 1 crew, conducted a rope-based pickoff rescue.
Cleveland Fire said a rescuer accessed and secured the person into the rescue system, and both were raised approximately five stories through the shaft…
