ALBANY, NY (WRGB) — As families across Albany prepare for the start of the school year, two community events in the city focused on easing the back-to-school burden by providing free supplies, services and support.
A community giveaway on Quail Street connected families with free school supplies, resources and a warm meal. The event was organized by Culture Center founder and Allie B’s owner Allie Williams, who said the effort reflects the strength of neighbors helping neighbors.
