High speed pursuit ends in charges for to Tennessee residents

A pursuit that began in Hopkinsville and ended in Todd County on Saturday resulted in charges against two Tennessee residents.

It started at the intersection of Clinic Drive and Fort Campbell Boulevard around 1 p.m. when a Flock camera spotted a vehicle that had been reported stolen traveling in the area. Officers who responded to the area located the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop, which is when it reportedly fled at a high rate of speed.

A back passenger in the vehicle reportedly exited the vehicle while it was moving. The driver, later identified as Samantha Salmon of Madison, Tennessee, continued at high speeds, weaving in and out of traffic, reaching speeds of around 100 miles per hour. It continued out of Hopkinsville, through Pembroke and into Trenton, which is when officers reportedly used a maneuver using their vehicles that brought the pursuit to an end…
