ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — A strong thunderstorm was moving across parts of McDowell, Rutherford and Buncombe counties Monday afternoon, bringing the potential for gusty winds and small hail.
The National Weather Service said at 3:31 p.m. Doppler radar showed a storm about 11 miles southwest of Marion, or 4 miles south of Old Fort. The storm was moving very little.
