A 75-year old woman has died after an incident last Friday, Aug. 28, at the Nathaniel Allen Recreational Area (NARA) Park in Acton that also claimed the life of her 1-year-old grandchild.
The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office confirmed the death with the Daily News on Monday but said an identification would not be released by the office because the incident was determined to be non-suspicious.
During a press conference on Aug. 28, Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan said the incident occurred about 1:30 p.m. when the woman and young child somehow got into the water. The woman’s other grandchildren, a 4-year-old and a 6-year-old, got the attention of a bystander who responded to help. Two lifeguards from a nearby summer camp also attempted to rescue the pair…
