12 pounds of ecstasy pills traveling from Houston to Memphis seized by Drug Task Force

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – West Tennessee Drug Task Force (WTDTF) agents seized more than 12 pounds of ecstasy pills on Monday.

According to officials, agents operating in Southeast Memphis under the Governor’s Violent Crime Initiative Fund Grant intercepted more than 21,000 ecstasy pills. The shipment originated in Houston and was destined for Memphis.

“This bulk amount, traveling cross-country, means organized crime on a big scale,” District Attorney Steve Mulroy said. “I’m glad our DTF agents were able to intercept it.”
