ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque Police officers rescued two infants from a locked car on Saturday while their father was inside a nearby bar, police announced Monday.
APD said officers broke the window of the car to rescue the two 20-month-old twins who were left in car seats for over two hours outside the Dirty Bourbon nightclub, located at 9800 Montgomery Blvd NE.

The bar’s security was patrolling the parking lot and called police to report the incident around 1:30 a.m. Responding police officers noted that the car seats were not fastened to the back seats of the vehicle and that the infants were drenched in sweat because of the heat, that they felt hot to the touch, and all of the windows were rolled up.
“The kids were very lethargic, seemed to be unconscious at the time but they were breathing,” Gilbert Gallegos said with APD. “Once they pulled them out of car seats they started to come to and regain consciousness. Officers noticed right away their clothes were drenched with sweat, they had soiled themselves.”…
