MADERA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – One individual was arrested after stealing numerous items from Lowe’s in Madera on Saturday, according to the Madera Police Department.
Manuel Patino was arrested as a result of the investigation, according to law enforcement.
An officer was driving through the business district on West Cleveland Avenue when he saw a vehicle driven by Patino leaving the Lowe’s parking lot at rapid speed, police say.
The officer followed and then pulled the vehicle over to perform a traffic stop, according to the department. During the stop, the officer found a large amount of DeWalt items, Klein Tools, and other merchandise that was sold at Lowe’s, officials say.
The merchandise was valued at over $1,000 and was later returned to the store, officers say. Patino admitted he stole the items from Lowe’s, and then he was arrested on theft charges, police say…
