Pete Davidson and Colin Jost’s most puzzling investment is finally starting to make sense—or at least as much sense as two Saturday Night Live stars buying a decommissioned Staten Island Ferry ever could.
On Thursday, September 17, the pair will turn the John F. Kennedy into the “Snapple Island Ferry,” a free, floating comedy club docked at Pier 17 in Lower Manhattan. Davidson and Jost will host the one-night-only event, featuring a 60-minute show with sets by a lineup of rising comedians. (And yes, the whole thing comes to you courtesy of that titular bodega-favorite beverage brand.)
“Turning the ferry into a floating comedy club with Snapple makes more sense than anything else we considered and it still doesn’t make much sense,” Davidson said in a statement. “Either way, we’re giving people a chance to take a break, have a laugh and do something completely ridiculous with us.”…
