The restaurant was started by three pitmasters from Goldee’s Barbecue, the Fort Worth joint that’s been called the best barbecue spot in the state by Texas Monthly. Ribbee’s was designed as a Goldee’s offshoot that focused almost exclusively on ribs — an uncommon barbecue business model in beefy Texas.
Ribbee’s opened in 2024. The founders borrowed an idea from Raising Cane’s and kept the menu small, with fries and a roll as limited options for sides. Ribs remain the focus, but Ribbee’s sells beef back and chicken combos, too.
