Berlin CSD: Woman charged with records tampering fired in 2025

BERLIN, N.Y. (WNYT)- A former employee charged with making illegal changes in a student records system was fired in 2025, according to the Berlin Central School District (CSD).

Berlin Superintendent Kenneth Rizzo says former Information Processing Specialist, Erin Crimmel, was fired from her position on June 5, 2025, after the district found evidence of misconduct.

Rizzo says she was hired by the district in 2018 and placed on administrative leave on April 29, 2025, before being ultimately let go. Rizzo says evidence of Crimmel’s misconduct was shared with the New York State Police (NYSP) for further investigation…
