Polk County E-Bike Bandit Tased With Backpack Jammed With Stolen 7-Eleven Treats

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A 57-year-old man was taken into custody after leading a deputy on a short pursuit on an electric bicycle with nearly $100 worth of stolen convenience store snacks in his backpack, according to Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd.

The incident began on Wabash Avenue in Lakeland, when a deputy spotted Gil Maldonado riding his e-bike in circles in the middle of the four-lane highway, forcing traffic to stop.
