Los Angeles County firefighters are battling a fast-moving brush fire that prompted evacuation warnings and is threatening structures south of Palmdale Tuesday afternoon.
The Hilary Fire is burning at least 30 acres in the area of E Barrel Springs Road near 40th Street.
LACOFD first responded to the fire at 1:54 p.m. and a second alarm was requested at 2:17 p.m.
