Lawsuits filed by 2 ex-Horry County employees against county officials head to federal court

FLORENCE, S.C. (WBTW) — Horry County officials have formally denied allegations against them made in a lawsuit filed by two former employees as the case moves to federal court in Florence.

Former police officer Kelsey Manemeit re-filed her lawsuit on July 14, naming Horry County, former Deputy Administrator Randy Webster, Police Chief Kris Leonhardt, Van Sissell, Blake Klauder, and Administrator Barry Spivey. Former Horry County public information director Mikayla Moskov also re-filed her lawsuit in July, which names Horry County, Leonhardt, and Spivey.

Both lawsuits have since been moved to U.S. District Court in Florence at the request of Horry County officials…
