Two suspects accused of stealing jewelry and family heirlooms from cemetery niches across multiple states are scheduled to make their first appearances Tuesday in Seminole County court.
Angela A. Garrett, 52, and Drake Lee Milam, 33, were held at the Seminole County Jail on Monday. They face multiple charges, such as damaging or removing a tomb or monument, tampering with grave contents, grand theft, and dealing in stolen property.
The arrests follow an August investigation by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said Garrett, Milam, and Milam’s girlfriend, Porsche Bancroft, targeted cemetery niches with cremated remains and stole valuables left by loved ones.
