Man sentenced to decades in prison in North Omaha teen’s death

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The man arrested for the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old was sentenced to decades in prison.

Christopher Swillie was sentenced last week to 50 to 70 years in prison for second-degree murder and using a firearm to commit a felony.

Court records show Swillie pleaded no contest to a reduced charge in the death of 15-year-old Shalamar Davis Jr.

Davis and a 20-year-old man were shot near 52nd and Pinkney streets in March 2025…
