BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 25-year-old was given 17 years to life in prison for the murder of a 33-year-old on Shirley Avenue in Buffalo’s LaSalle neighborhood in 2025, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said Wednesday.
Jeremiah Henderson shot and killed Fred Finch, III on the 200 block of Shirley, near Comstock Avenue and Bailey Avenue around 8:30 p.m. on June 16, 2025. Finch died at the scene. Henderson was found around 90 minutes later on LaSalle Avenue in possession of the gun he used to kill Finch.
Henderson pleaded guilty in July to one count of second-degree murder.
