CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — After years of delays, rising costs and safety concerns from Chattanooga drivers, the replacement of the aging Wilcox Boulevard Bridge now has a construction date.
TDOT says work on the new bridge is expected to begin in early 2027.
State, city and federal officials gathered Wednesday for the ceremonial signing of a $25 million federal RAISE grant that will help pay for the replacement.
