INDIANAPOLIS – A mill that produced flour for a century, a hub for Black culture near Indiana Avenue and a pioneer village that tells the story of Pres. Abraham Lincoln’s boyhood all face uncertain futures, according to a nonprofit organization that advocates for preserving key Hoosier sites.
Indiana Landmarks on Monday, Aug. 31 released its annual 10 Most Endangered for 2026, which lists sites and structures in danger of disappearing due to neglect, lack of funding, potential new development and other challenges.
