Stanislaus County crash: Sedan fatally hits pedestrian

(FOX40.COM) — A car fatally hit a pedestrian early Wednesday morning in Stanislaus County, the California Highway Patrol said.

Around 1:34 a.m., CHP was dispatched to northbound Highway 99 just south of Carpenter Road after a sedan traveling at 65 mph hit a man crossing the street, CHP said.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was uninjured, and drugs or alcohol do not appear to have been factors in this crash, CHP said…
