Franklin County man faces 20 years over CSAM charge

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WFXR)- A Franklin County man faces up to 20 years in prison after entering into a plea agreement to possession of child sex abuse material (CSAM).

According to federal prosecutors, Kevin Michael Robinson, 28, of Wirtz, pleaded guilty in 2018 at a military court-martial to various child sexual exploitation offenses. He was released from prison in June 2025.

As part of Robinson’s supervised release, monitoring software was installed on his cellphone. On July 1, 2025, Robinson’s probation officer received notice from the monitoring software company that CSAM was allegedly downloaded on that cellphone…
