HILLSDALE COUNTY, Mich. — The Michigan Attorney General’s Office has filed charges against Hillsdale County Sheriff Scott Hodshire.
Hodshire, 59, was arraigned Wednesday on one count of obstruction of justice and one count of misconduct in office, according to court records obtained by News Channel 3.
The charges follow a complaint submitted to the Attorney General’s Office after an investigation by Michigan State Police, according to the Hillsdale County Prosecutor’s Office.

In a statement, Hodshire said the charges stem from an investigation in which the sheriff’s office assisted an out-of-state agency as a courtesy. He said that agency did not have jurisdiction in Hillsdale County…
