CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Harry Boomer, respectfully known as Mr. Boomer, is retiring after 37 years at 19 News and 55 years in radio and television.
“The day has come that I must say goodbye to all my friends and company. I’m sorry, I can’t resist,” smirked 19 News reporter Harry Boomer. “It just seems like the stars were aligned. I’m old as dirt, but I’m blessed to be above ground.”
Career at 19 News
Harry is the longest tenured on-air talent here at 19 News. He’s been an education reporter, morning anchor and host of 43 Focus, the station’s weekly public affairs program.
“I love gathering and disseminating news and information. Giving people perspective on what’s affecting their lives on a daily basis,” explained Boomer.
