Moviegoers were watching the trailers roll at a West Orange movie theater on August 15 when the screen went dark. Seconds later, an employee walked in with five or six police officers and told the audience to clear out, promising a reimbursement, as police needed to conduct an investigation. Officers then moved straight to the top level of the stadium seating.
As police conducted their search, officers held everyone in that specific theater, not the entire complex, outside for 15 to 20 minutes. Then police left, and the audience went back in to finish a movie none of them fully understood anymore. So, what happened exactly?
