JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Civil rights pioneer, former mayor, congressman and U.S. Ambassador Andrew Young returned to Jackson to reflect on his life of public service and his longstanding ties to Mississippi.
Young, 94, visited the state as part of the Medgar Wiley Evers Lecture series held at the Two Mississippi Museums.
Before delivering his lecture, Young took a guided tour of the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum, where historic photographs sparked powerful memories of the struggle for racial equality.
