TROY, N.Y. (WNYT)- A Rensselaer County gun case ended with a 13-year prison sentence after prosecutors said a man had five illegal firearms.
Robert F. Bacon, 40, of Warrenton, North Carolina, was sentenced after he was found guilty June 18 of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, according to Rensselaer County District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly.
The district attorney’s office says Troy police executed a search warrant near Glen Avenue in Troy on June 25, 2025, as part of a firearms trafficking investigation. Police found Bacon with five firearms and prosecutors said none were lawfully possessed…
