OMAHA, Neb. (KLKN) — Omaha Police Department (OPD) and Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) announced multiple arrested related to four pursuits that transpired over the last 10 days.
The first pursuit was late on Aug. 24, when a trooper with NSP attempted to perform a traffic stop on a motorcycle. The motorcycle was traveling 90 mph in a 55 mph zone. The rider refused to stop and tried hiding behind a semi. Finally, the rider stopped at a residence and OPD and troopers arrested the rider for willful reckless driving, fleeing to avoid arrest and no motorcycle license.
The second pursuit happened in early morning hours on Aug. 29. A trooper attempted a traffic stop on a sedan traveling 100 mph on Interstate 80. The driver refused to stop and accelerated to 120 mph. The sedan ultimately stopped at a residence where the driver was arrested for willful reckless driving, fleeing to avoid arrest, minor in possession of alcohol, open alcohol container and zero-tolerance alcohol violation…
