(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Korean American Society of Colorado is hosting its annual Korean Festival on Sept. 12 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at America the Beautiful Park. The event is free, but attendees are encouraged to purchase a festival T-shirt to support the organization.
Highlights include traditional Korean performances, taekwondo, K-pop performances and competitions, dance play, traditional games, cultural activities, food, and local vendors.
Event organizers Andrew Kim and Jinah Licari joined Loving Living Local’s Justin Antweil to discuss how this is the biggest yearly Korean Festival in the state of Colorado.
“The festival brings the community together through Korean culture, food, music, and entertainment,” said Kim. “A special Unity Ceremony and Bibimbap Ceremony will be held at 11:30 a.m., symbolizing how people from different cultures and backgrounds can come together as one community.”
