TROY — Derrick Harper has no closure.
His daughter, Alana Harper, still has shrapnel in her body from an explosion on Aug. 17, 2025, outside a rental property her aunt used to own on O’Neil Street in Troy.
The case has been closed since Nov. 24. No arrests have been made. No charges have been filed. The girl’s family believes the police investigation should’ve resulted in a criminal charge…
