Montgomery is turning its historic downtown into a casino-themed playground on September 10, when the city’s annual Vegas in the Village event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. across Historic Montgomery and the Montgomery Quarter development. Shoppers who visit participating businesses and get their passports stamped can enter prize drawings, and the night wraps with a DJ-fueled party at Montgomery Quarter Park that kicks off at 8 p.m.
Vegas in the Village is a community event, according to the City of Montgomery, Ohio Government. It features casino-themed activities, live entertainment and local-business prize raffles.
This year’s shopping game will start from two hubs: The Remington Room at 7813 Ted Gregory Lane and the Montgomery Quarter Residences at 7920 Cameron Lane. The latter is located within Montgomery Quarter.
A Passport, 45 Businesses and Plenty of Prizes
The event’s centerpiece is the passport-to-shopping format, in which attendees collect stamps at participating businesses in exchange for entries into prize drawings. This year’s lineup includes participating businesses offering chances to win, with Fifth Third Private Bank hosting a Reds raffle among the giveaways.
