RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Richmond Flying Squirrels are taking Richmond officials and Diamond District developers to court over what they describe as repeated failures to deliver on the promised redevelopment.
Navigators Baseball, the ownership group behind the Richmond Flying Squirrels, is suing those associated with the Diamond District redevelopment for breach of contract, fraud and tortious interference — among other things — for what they describe as a trail of broken promises.
The lawsuit, filed by the Navigators in Richmond City Circuit Court, names the city of Richmond, its Economic Development Authority (EDA) and Diamond District developers as defendants…
